Most of us were up and around by 9:30 this morning, ready to leave for our tour of Parc Des Princes soccer stadium by 10:00. The metro ride was our longest yet with 22 stops, but after getting off the metro and about a five minute walk, we entered the stadium around 11:15.

We had the opportunity to look at many of the different sponsorships associated with PSG (Paris Saint-German), including Nike, Mcdonald’s, and Qatar Airways (just to name a few). A while later, we entered the player locker room and learned the players lockers are grouped by which the language they speak, but their name plates are magnetic and can be moved if they so choose. We finished the tour with a lap around the stadium, and exiting through the VIP lounge.

Around 2:30, we arrived at the Galeries to begin our shopping adventure. We were all extremely hungry, so we branched off into different groups to find something to eat. The Galeries are all the high-end stores shoved into one big mall. We passed Gucci, Dior, Michael Kors, and plenty of other extravaganza places. We bought a few small souvenirs and then headed back to our hotel to have some time before dinner.

Tonight’s dinner was extra special, as today was my 20th birthday. Our reservation was at 7:00 at Casa Verde, an italian restaurant near our hotel. Many of us got some variation of pasta; I got a spaghetti pesto, pictured below.

A bonus ending to our night was PSG winning to championship game 5-0, on the very same day we toured their stadium!Several groups of us witnessed the Parisian sport culture in real time; I was very grateful to be apart of this win! Overall, we had an eventful day from start to finish, tomorrow everyone gets to branch off on their own and see some of their last Paris-finds, then off to London Monday morning!
