Monday, May 26- Paris Day 1

Our morning began as we said goodbye to Leuven and ended our first week in Europe. We started the morning late, not leaving until around 11:00 am. The late departure and slow morning were needed to bounce back from a long free day, where a majority of the group spent their time in Amsterdam, traveling from 06:30 to 01:00. After embarking on the final short walk to the Leuven train station, we reached Brussels for a layover and finally, Paris, France.

The train was more modern and faster than anything else we had taken, meaning it was only about an hour and fifteen minutes to reach Paris, the capital city of France, and begin the second part of our study abroad.

Our first order of business in Paris was arriving at the hotel. And after a ride on the subway, we arrived at the beautiful Hotel Alhambra, our home for the next week. After arriving at the hotel, some much-appreciated relaxation time was had before walking to take a bus and see more of Paris.

The bus gave us fantastic views to see the Louvre, the famous Seine River, and more of the beautiful city of Paris. From there, the group split up to walk around and see more of Paris on our own. Additionally, we each got dinner on our own. By the end of the night, we all were more familiar with Paris, and are even more excited to spend the next week here.
